In the last years I found and developed a rare technique which perfectly aligns my artistic desire to portray animals deeply, accurately and efficiently, “dry brush” : oil painting on paper, where a paint brush is relatively dry but still holds paint. A very small amount of color is applied to a paper, layered layer after layer and reworked with an eraser, at this point it is possible to incorporate different lighting effects and details. It is an exceptionally unique technique and I’m the first animalist painter in the world using it.
